The Importance of Flow
When choosing an automatic shut-off system it is important to consider the flow volume of the valve itself. DynaQuip, in designing the WaterCop System, carefully reviewed the requirements for main shut-off valves used on residential water systems.
In most cases it is a plumbing code requirement to use a "non-restricting" or "full bore" valve on all main water supply lines. It is also often a code requirement to use a "full bore" valve on pipes that feed water heaters and two or more outlets of the system.
WaterCop's heavy-duty brass ball valve is a "full bore" valve. Our valve does not restrict water flow or cause water pressure to drop. Our valve is designed specifically for high-cycle valve automation applications. We are so confident in our brass ball valve that this key component of the WaterCop System carries a Full Lifetime Warranty.
